Classification: Nonexempt

POSITION: 2nd Shift Forklift Operator

HOURS: 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM

COMPENSATION $22.52

REPORTS TO: Shipping Supervisor / Shipping Lead

EMPLOYMENT: Full time

Operate shipping and receiving PIT to load trailers and storage areas with product and other inventory related to operations.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Safely operate forklift to pick up, load, and unload orders from outbound and inbound trailers.
  • Accurately picking, staging and loading orders in SAP
  • Transferring products to and from storage
  • Maintaining housekeeping for clean docks, freezers, office and storage areas
  • Communicate with production and QA teams
  • Follow all USDA and company TQC regulations.
  • Other duties performed as assigned by supervisor

WORKING CONDITIONS: Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to very cold, noise, humidity, moving vehicles, slippery floors, possible heavy and repeated lifting. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must complete Forklift and other relevant powered industrial truck trainings (yard dog, scissor lift, pallet jack, etc) and hazard communication training courses. Must demonstrate good communication. Must meet Shipping Back & Task requirements. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift and twist up to 9 hours per day.
