Job Description
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Works closely with Fabrication Shop Manager to oversee the workflow of the fab floor by estimating, scheduling, and estimating manpower.
- Ensures proper productivity levels within fabrication shop so that schedules for completion are maintained with an on time or ahead of schedule delivery status.
- Effectively handles and resolves day-to-day work site issues including performance warnings, dispute resolution and employee relations.
- Properly communicates with all customers, employees, and management team in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensures that fab shop database, spreadsheets, and schedules are managed and kept up to date.
- Completes and distributes all paperwork associated with employees including but not limited to attendance, performance, reviews, training and pay in a timely manner.
- Works closely and communicates with Fab Shop Manager to manage employee labor rates.
- Always maintain TP Mechanical top safety and quality standards.
- All other duties as assigned by Fabrication Shop Manager including general fabrication tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience/Qualifications Required:
oMinimum 5 years prior Fab shop experience.
oBackground in plumbing. sheet metal, fire protection and/or construction preferred.
Job Skills:
- Good math ability.
- Detail oriented.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical requirements:
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. independently.
- Able to stand for up to eight hours per day.
- Eyesight correctable to 20/50
- Able to perform shift work
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Special Requirements:
- Valid Drivers License
- Flexible hours
