We're looking for a detail-oriented and skilled 516 EGR Coolers Tubemill Operator to join our manufacturing team in Bartlett, United States.

In this position you will be responsible to perform duties to set-up and operate equipment to weld tubing.

Work from prints, work orders and instructions:

1. Set up, adjust and operate tube mills/welders to form tubing by the use of resistance, inert arc or gas welding processes

2. Load strip and guides through “lead-in” or profile rolls to form tube in preparation of welding process.

3. Adjust welding equipment to achieve proper weld.

4. Cut tubing to length and places in temporary storage racks.

5. Perform “burst” test to check weld.

6. Change out weld rolls and blades.

7. Perform weld section mounts and other quality checks.

Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly condition.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required
  • Basic proficiency in English required
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills

EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year of experience operating automated machinery in a manufacturing environment preferred; tube mill experience is a plus
  • Candidates without prior manufacturing experience will be considered if they demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and measuring and inspection equipment

Additional Information

This position is part of the bargaining unit and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Base Hourly Pay: $21.46/hr; 2nd shift premium as applicable: $1.00/hr
