Brake Press Operator (2nd Shift)
Location: American Products, Strafford MO
Shift: Monday–Thursday | 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM
Pay: $19.00–$20.00/hour + $2.00/hour Shift Differential
Join Our Team
We are looking for a dependable, motivated individual to join our manufacturing team as a Brake Press Operator – Class B. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, has mechanical aptitude, and wants to build a long-term career in metal fabrication.
In this role, you will operate and maintain brake press equipment used to bend and form metal components according to production specifications. Training is provided for candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the department.
What You'll Do
• Operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape metal parts
• Read and follow blueprints, work orders, and production instructions
• Load and unload materials while ensuring proper alignment and positioning
• Inspect finished parts to verify quality and specifications
• Make machine adjustments as needed to maintain product quality
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Record production information accurately
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Manufacturing or brake press experience is a plus
• Basic mechanical aptitude preferred
• Ability to learn blueprint reading and technical drawings (training provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic math and measurement skills preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic required
Physical Requirements
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently use hands and arms to handle materials and equipment
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
• Close, distance, color, and depth vision required
