Job Description

Job Location WAF - Manitowoc, WI 54220 Position Type Full Time

At Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry (WAF), we’ve been pouring heart, soul, and molten metal into our work for 116 years. Now, we’re looking for someone strong, sharp-eyed, and ready to get their hands dirty in our Aluminum Shakeout area.

This isn’t just another factory job it’s a chance to be at the core of a time-tested process that turns raw materials into precision-crafted castings. From the moment a mold is broken open, you’re the first to see what’s been created. Your hands will play a key role in shaping parts that go on to power engines, support structures, and move industries forward. If you like working hard, staying active, and being part of something built to last, this is the place for you.

This is a full-time, second-shift position, running Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with a starting wage of $24.95 per hour plus a $1.25 shift premium. You’ll be working in a hands-on environment where your effort directly impacts quality and production—no sitting at a desk, just solid, meaningful work with a proud team.

What You’ll Do:

• Operate the shakeout line to remove aluminum castings from green sand molds

• Inspect castings to ensure all sand cores are removed and parts are free of visible defects

• Dispose of waste materials properly and help keep the workspace clean and safe

• Assist with pouring aluminum molds as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong attention to detail—you’ll be the first quality checkpoint for each casting

• A team-focused attitude and a willingness to jump in wherever needed

• Foundry or manufacturing experience is helpful, but not required—we’ll train the right person

Why WAF?

• Family-owned and operated for 116 years

• A team that values hard work, craftsmanship, and long-term stability

• Training and opportunities to grow your skills and advance in the company

• A proud tradition of building quality castings used across the world

Ready to shake things up and be part of something real? Apply today!
