About the role


The Role

Join a role where your HGV driving skills make a real impact - every day is different, and your work keeps the industry moving.

As a 26T Tanker Driver in GAP's Tanker Services Division, you'll be responsible for safely collecting and transporting a variety of liquid wastes, delivering non-potable water, and ensuring all work meets environmental, DVSA, and HSE regulations.

You'll use modern equipment, keep accurate digital records via our BigChange system, and maintain high standards of safety, service, and customer care. servicing welfare units and emptying effluent tanks, to supporting industrial and construction projects, your role is key to keeping projects running smoothly.

What You'll be Doing

• Deliver non-potable water or remove waste from industrial sites (including drilling waste, soil engineering, and interceptors), completing all paperwork accurately (including damage checks, fuel levels, and authorised signatures)
• Service welfare units and septic tanks - empty, clean, refill chemicals, replenish consumables
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and basic maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and safety
• Complete final site visits, record job details and photos on BigChange, and get customer sign-off
• Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle and supporting general depot duties
• Following customer site Health & Safety rules and using digital tachographs in line with legislation


About You

What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused, including:

• Previous HGV driving experience - tanker or waste sector experience an advantage
• HGV Class 2 licence, Driver CPC (35 hours), and valid Digi Tacho card is essential
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to complete paperwork accurately
• A professional, friendly approach when dealing with customers and colleagues
