Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our Options Homeschool Program. As a part-time teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to our students. With a focus on individualized learning, you will have the flexibility to design engaging lessons and create a supportive learning environment. This role offers a competitive hourly rate of $35 per hour and the opportunity to work 2-3 days per week, providing a great work-life balance.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to elementary-aged students in a homeschool setting.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters student growth and development.
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to support their academic journey.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and homeschool coordinators to align curriculum and teaching strategies.
  • Stay updated with the latest teaching methodologies and incorporate innovative practices into your lessons.
  • Build strong relationships with students and their families, ensuring a supportive and nurturing educational experience.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance your teaching skills and stay connected with the school community.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress, ensuring compliance with school policies.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child's academic performance and overall well-being.
  • A valid teaching license or certification in Elementary Education is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a homeschool or alternative education setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for building positive relationships.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning platforms.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a growth mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic and diverse teaching team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the homeschool program and student population.
  • A positive and enthusiastic attitude, with a passion for inspiring and motivating young learners.
