Job Description
The Nurse serves the PK -12th grade students, Faculty, and Staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide healthcare to students, faculty, and staff
- Perform health screenings
- Providing health-related education to students and staff in both individual and group settings
- Monitoring immunizations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment as to prevent injury and ensure safety
- Overseeing infection control measures
- Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans
- Overseeing vision, hearing, body mass index, and mental health screening procedures
Requirements
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required
In the performance of his/her duties, Employee shall be guided by the Goals and Criteria of the Sacred Heart and the Catholic Faith. Candidates must also possess:
- Certified RN, LVN, Nurse Practitioner or Doctor who has a current Texas state license
- Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
- Ability to make independent decisions along with maintaining the confidentiality of privileged and sensitive information
- High level of competence using technology
- Experience in a PreK – 12 environments, preferably in independent schools is a plus
- Strong references to convey your abilities
Upon Hiring
- Successful completion of criminal offenders’ records information and sexual offender registry checks.
- Successful completion of CMG Safe Environment Training.
- Current CPR certification.
