Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional educator to fill the role of EILAAS:TOSA, Gifted and Talented, who will serve as a dedicated advocate and facilitator for our gifted students. In this role, you will be a key driver of instructional excellence, ensuring our students receive the specialized support and challenges they need to thrive. You will work across two campuses, bridging the gap between state requirements and innovative classroom practices, and empowering teachers to deliver high-level differentiation in their daily instruction.

  • Lead instructional coaching cycles to empower teachers in embedding differentiation strategies.
  • Partner with PLCs to ensure robust support for gifted learners throughout the week.
  • Manage universal screening processes and collect 'Body of Evidence' for gifted education.
  • Facilitate the development of Advanced Learning Plans (ALPs) with measurable goals.
  • Provide direct instruction to address the academic and social-emotional needs of gifted students during dedicated W.I.N. time.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations while fostering an innovative and challenging learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers to integrate high-level differentiation into Tier 1 instruction.
  • Support the creation and implementation of individualized learning plans for gifted students.
  • Stay updated on best practices and research in gifted education to enhance instructional strategies.
  • A valid teaching license with an endorsement in gifted education or a willingness to obtain one.
  • A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a gifted and talented program.
  • Strong instructional leadership skills and a passion for coaching and mentoring teachers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • A deep understanding of differentiated instruction and its application in the classroom.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning and instructional practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on research in the field.
  • A positive and solution-oriented mindset, with a passion for supporting gifted students' growth.
