Job Description


Bioversity-CIAT, through its host institution in Peru, the International
Potato Center (CIP), is looking for a recently graduated professional intern in
communications or related fields to support the research teams in agroforestry
and agroecology in Peru. This position is key to the implementation and
delivery of communication products that facilitate the dissemination of results
and engagement with partners.


About the position:

The Alliance Bioversity-CIAT team working in Peru
require the support of a junior communications-trained professional to help
with overall assistance for the implementation, engagement, and delivery of
communications products that support engagement, outreach and results
dissemination.


Responsibilities:


·

Content production: Produce communication pieces, from
digital to written formats, that efficiently support project outreach,
engagement, and dissemination of the activities in the country.


·

Information capture: Carry out the gathering of data
and resources (photos, notes, interviews, audio recordings, etc.) needed to
develop communication products.


·

Editorial review: Support the translation, review, and
improvement of written materials produced by the research teams.


·

Strategic assistance: Collaborate in the
implementation of communication strategies to expand the reach and
dissemination of scientific results.


·

Operational management: Ensure that communication
products are delivered on time and meet institutional quality standards and
provide results reports.


Requirements


What are we looking for?


·

Education: Recent graduate in Communication Sciences
or related fields.


·

Ranked in the upper
third of their faculty (mandatory requirement).


·

Experience: One year of experience is preferred.
Desirable in research-oriented or international organizations performing
similar functions.


·

With interest or experience in the communication of
science, research, or development cooperation.


·

Languages: Native Spanish and intermediate-level
English.


·

Technical skills: Excellent writing skills.


·

Familiar with graphic design tools such as Canva.


·

Personal competencies: Attention to detail and
willingness to learn about the organization’s research work.
