Job Description

Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Software Development Manager, and working with a team of developers, business analysts and other IT specialists, assists in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of Electronic Health Record software and other related systems. Work ranges from simple individual projects to complex multi-person projects that require extensive planning and design. The primary development environment is C sharp, .NET, MS SQL and SSRS, although legacy and proprietary systems mean that other languages are also utilized. Working with an in-house team of systems engineers, the developer team also handles MS SQL DBA and performance issues. Deploys or assists vendors with deployment of other large-scale software products, such as Financial or management systems, imaging systems, and other types of products.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field required; education requirement may be waived, on a case by case basis, for a combination of education, directly related experience, and demonstrated SQL and Object Oriented Programming ability. Two years of experience in programming required. Knowledge of SQL and .NET programming required. Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police clearance check. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $32.71 - $37.68 per hour. 40 hours per week.

Location: General Administration/Information Services, Lansing, Michigan. Position is hybrid/in-office with 4 days remote and 1 day per week on-site required.
