Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the Associate Medical Director for the CSU, performs a variety of duties involving patient care in the Crisis Care Center (CCC), primarily the CSU. Participates in interdisciplinary planning, care, and treatment of consumers served by the program. Functions as a liaison between program staff and psychiatrist, facilitating coordination of such services. May provide individual and/or group psychoeducation. Using nursing processes may diagnose and provide treatment to consumers for specific diagnoses. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the CSU in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: Master's Degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree required. Possession of a State of Michigan license as a Registered Nurse required. Possession of a State of Michigan Licensure as a Registered Nurse required. Specialty certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the State of Michigan Board of Nursing in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code PA368 of 1978. Certification by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). A minimum of one-year clinical experience with persons with mental illness. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and reliable transportation for job related use required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check, and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $114,014 - $125,084 annually. 40 hours per week.
Location: Crisis Care Center (CCC), primarily the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), Lansing, Michigan.
