Responsibilities: Under the supervision of the NAVIGATE Coordinator or Supervisor, provides effective, recovery-orientated services to NAVIGATE participants, including assessing mental health, substance use, and other status of persons served during contacts and make stage specific treatment recommendations to assist in meeting their goals.Utilize outreach and engagement strategies to elicit individuals’ commitment to actively participate in treatment.Provide education and support to family members, significant others, and community representatives to create a recovery network for persons served.Direct services will be provided to individuals and their family members using the NAVIGATE curriculum.Teach necessary job-related skills to enhance successful placements such as interviewing skills, symptom management, appropriate dress and completing job applications.Contact potential employers and develop jobs that meet varied individual’s needs in competitive community-based work settings as well as job coaching.Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Human Services field is required. A minimum of one-year direct experience working in vocational, mental health, or human services field required. Knowledge of methods and techniques of job development, client placement, and current practices in vocational education required. Experience placing individuals by identifying jobs that match skills, knowledge, and abilities that workers could perform is required. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI’s computer systems, including Smart Care and Microsoft Word. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.
Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Salary: $27.12 – $30.37 hourly.
Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week.
Location: AMHS/Navigate, Lansing, MI.
