【Job Description】
Amazon Japan is excited to provide Supply Chain Manager internship opportunities for 2027/2028 graduates in 2027. As a Supply Chain Manager Intern, you will be championing various projects within Amazon's Supply Chain team. The Supply Chain team is responsible for capacity planning, inventory optimization, network design, and operational efficiency across Japan's fulfillment network to ensure customers receive the right products at the right time.

Such projects include but are not limited to:

1. Inventory Planning and Optimization:

- Analyze demand forecasting models and propose inventory level optimization

- Leverage seasonality and trend data for capacity planning

- Develop initiatives and simulations to improve In-Stock Rate

- Visualize inventory turnover rates and identify bottlenecks

2. Network Design and Logistics Optimization:

- Analyze delivery route optimization across Fulfillment Centers (FCs)

- Build cost and lead-time comparison models across transportation modes (truck, air, rail)

- Conduct data analysis for last-mile delivery efficiency improvement

- Simulate optimal relay point placement

3. Operational Efficiency and Automation:

- Identify bottlenecks through data analysis of existing operational processes

- Automate KPI monitoring through BI dashboard development

- Propose and support implementation of automation for repetitive tasks

- Conduct ROI analysis for supply chain cost reduction initiatives

4. Cross-Functional Supply Chain Strategy:

- Collaborate with Business, Operations, Finance, and Product teams on strategy development

- Support supply strategy planning for peak periods (Prime Day, year-end shopping season)

- Analyze vendor performance and propose procurement process improvements

- Partner with global teams to solve Japan market-specific challenges

Basic Qualifications


- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program expected to graduate in 2028
- Business level English (Speak, Write, Read)
- Business level Japanese (Speak, Write, Read)
- Able to legally work 40/hours per week, 8-12 weeks throughout the internship period

Preferred Qualifications

- - Studying or majoring in supply chain, logistics, operations research, industrial engineering, data science, or related fields
- - Experience tackling SCM or operations challenges through business contests, case studies, etc.
- - Project management experience in clubs, academic seminars, or student organizations (event management, resource procurement, budget management, etc.)
