Job Description

As a Software Engineer at Honeywell, you will launch your career by developing full-stack software, with an emphasis on software architecture, cloud application development, and artificial intelligence. You will learn from experienced colleagues and contribute to innovative projects across building automation, industrial automation, process automation, and process technology.

You will report to the Software R&D Manager and begin your first rotation at our Chongqing location. Through the three-rotation program, you will have opportunities to work at Honeywell locations across China, gaining broad exposure and accelerating your professional growth.

In this role, you will help develop and deploy scalable, cloud-based AI and backend solutions. You will gain valuable experience while strengthening Honeywell’s software capabilities and advancing technology in collaboration with global teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain full-stack software applications, with a focus on cloud-native architectures and backend systems.
• Support design and architecture of scalable, secure, and maintainable backend solutions under guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and deploy AI-powered cloud solutions.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Engage actively in the multi-rotation program to gain broad experience and contribute to diverse projects

YOU MUST HAVE

• Recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of full stack software development including backend and frontend technologies.
• Familiarity or coursework experience with cloud application development and AI concepts.
• Willingness to learn programming languages and frameworks relevant to backend, full stack, and cloud development.
• Enthusiasm to work in a rotational program adapting to different teams and projects.

WE VALUE

• Internship or project experience in software development, cloud platforms, or AI technologies.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Alibaba, AWS or Azure Cloud is a plus.
• Basic understanding of AI frameworks and tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, cross-functional environment.
