HarperCollins Children’s Books is seeking a Publicity Intern to join our team in person this Summer. In this role you will work closely with a group of highly experienced publicists as they create and execute campaigns for books across genres and age groups, including picture books, middle grade, and young adult. The Publicity Department plays a unique role in the life cycle of the book, working closely across internal departments as the book takes shape (editorial, sales, marketing, etc.), then interfacing with external partners responsible for getting the book into the hands of consumers (media outlets, influencers, bookstores). Throughout the process, Publicity works closely with the author to craft a compelling and successful launch campaign.
