Aquatech has an immediate need for a full-time Equipment Selection Engineering Intern to work in our Canonsburg, PA office this summer. The hours are Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Intern will perform the duties described in the job description below and will be considered a non-exempt employee.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

• One (1) year’s experience in engineering or similar collegiate classes preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Environmental Engineering from a four-year accredited college or university.
• High School Diploma

Job Description

• Responsible for problem-solving for various vendors' clean-up on current invoices
• Other miscellaneous duties or responsibilities as assigned to support the operations of the department or the company.
• Preparation of technical documentation
• Follow up with vendors.
• Assist with proposal preparation.
• Assist with project execution.
• Release of engineering documents to the Document Control Department per department procedure
• Sizing, selection, and preparation of data sheets for water treatment equipment such as instruments, pumps, valves, etc.
• Read, analyze, and interpret engineering documents including P&ID, PFD, and process calculations.

Internship

• Aquatech Internships are in the office five days per week, 40 hours per week. The internship program is temporary employment that lasts for a maximum duration of ninety (90) days. Successful completion of this internship will provide you with invaluable skills in the water treatment industry and make a compelling addition to your professional journey.

Skill Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks or projects with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external personnel and maintain a positive attitude and good organizational skills.
