Generac’s Internship Program is designed to provide students with real-world experience in a supportive and innovative environment. Students contribute to impactful projects, gain exposure to industry best practices, and build lasting professional connections. This is a valuable opportunity to develop your skills and grow alongside experienced mentors.
Generac’s Internship Program is full-time (40 hours per week) from May/June to August, 2027. The program will be on-site at Generac’s Waukesha, WI (headquarters.)
Generac’s Intern position is responsible to work with other engineers to fulfill special requests related to the digital solutions used in our manufacturing process. Under supervision of engineers, the intern will have the opportunity to create manufacturing applications, Power BI reports, OPC-UA based machine connections, API connections, and dashboards. Participants develop technical skills through challenging assignments and usage of technical tools.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
