Pensions Insurance

Join Isio as a Pensions Insurance Project Management Graduate Analyst and build a career helping clients manage complex projects in the pensions insurance market. You will support major transactions where pension schemes transfer financial risk to insurance companies, working with colleagues and clients to plan activity, monitor progress and deliver clear outcomes.

You will work alongside experienced project management and pensions specialists, gaining direct client exposure while developing transferable skills in project delivery, communication, financial management and consulting.

You will be employed on a permanent basis from the start. Your responsibilities will grow as your skills, knowledge and confidence develop.

What does the role entail?

• Support the full project lifecycle, including project set-up, planning, monitoring, reporting, control and closure
• Apply actuarial concepts to calculate the value of pension and other benefits for employers and pension scheme trustees
• Maintain project plans, actions, risks, issues and decision records
• Prepare clear progress updates for clients and internal stakeholders
• Support budget monitoring and the preparation of fees and invoices
• Coordinate information and activity across project teams
• Use project management processes, documentation and online tools
• Contribute to bids, proposals and business development activity
• Build knowledge of pension schemes, insurance transactions and the financial assets involved
• Identify practical opportunities to improve project delivery and client outcomes

Professional Qualifications: This role offers flexibility to suit your ultimate professional aspirations. Depending on your existing qualifications and interest you would be supported in working to achieve professional qualifications awarded by one of the following:

• Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFOA) - working to full qualification as an Actuary
• Pensions Management Institute (PMI)
• Association of Project Management (APM)

Length of programme

You are employed on a permanent basis from the start of this graduate role. It is expected to take around two to five years to achieve your chosen professional qualification.

Location and working pattern

This role is based in our Glasgow office.

Expected office attendance, including the first few months is four days per week minimum in office and then two/three days a week in the office moving forwards.

The pattern will reflect client, team and learning needs. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.

Entry requirements

• You must have completed an undergraduate degree or higher-level qualification by 22 September 2027 and achieved a 2.1 or higher. If you are in your final year, you should be on track to achieve this

• If you have studied a non-numerical degree subject, you must have achieved Mathematics at A level grade B or higher, or an equivalent qualification

We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position and therefore you will need to be able to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Start date: 22 September 2027

Recruitment process

The recruitment process will include;

• online motivation and competency questions requiring video and/or written responses
• review of your application assessing your potential to be successful in this role
• an interview, in-person, with Managers in this role in the office you have applied to be based in

We will explain what to expect before each stage. The process will assess your motivation, numerical and problem-solving skills, communication, teamwork and approach to learning. It will not assume previous pensions knowledge.
