UWM's 12-week internship program offers an immersive experience with around 200 interns, job shadowing, access to senior leaders, and extensive networking opportunities. Join the Marketing team at UWM for an immersive summer internship program designed to provide students with hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing. This program offers an excellent opportunity to work on real projects and gain valuable insights into the marketing strategies of a leading mortgage lender.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING

This team drives brand awareness and engagement by creating and managing impactful digital content across various social media platforms.

• Work closely with brand owners, designers, animators, photographers, videographers and fellow social experts to gain experience in content development, measurement, community management, campaign planning and photography.
• Develop and manage UWM Life social content including but not limited to: Creating social content for the UWM Life brand channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and X).
• Engage audiences and own UWM Life’s community management.

RECRUITMENT MARKETING

This team focuses on attracting top talent by creating and executing strategic marketing campaigns that highlight the company's unique culture and opportunities.

• Research recruitment marketing best practices, trends, and market conditions.
• Monitor, analyze and report on the performance of past and current campaigns & identify areas of opportunity.
• Conceive develop and deliver campaign strategies supporting brand goals.
• Project manage the development of new marketing assets across multiple digital platforms (i.e., social media, email, websites or job boards).
• Collaborate on projects that strengthen the local brand awareness and reputation of UWM.

GRAPHIC DESIGN

This team crafts visually compelling graphics and materials that elevate our brand identity and support our marketing and communication efforts. *PORTFOLIO REQUIRED*

• Creatively execute a marketing campaign that meets the requirements of your brief based on a new goal or current opportunity within one of UWM’s brands.
• Assist in the creation of digital and print materials for all 4 of our brands (UWM, UWM Careers, Mortgage Matchup, and BeAMortgageBroker.com).
• Work on materials including but not limited to: Social media graphics and website banners, flyers and brochures, presentations, reports, large format prints, etc.

VIDEOGRAPHY

This team creates high-quality visual content that effectively communicates our brand message and enhances engagement with both internal and external audiences. *PORTFOLIO REQUIRED*

• Develop a summer-long campaign project, led by you with access to and the assistance of our full marketing team.
• Assist our in-house video team in the production of video content, including setup/teardown, lighting, shooting and editing.
• Assist our in-house video team with daily morning news broadcast.
• Shoot and edit video projects.
• Present your work and make edits based on feedback.
• Manage your time to meet deadlines.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

• Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2027 or 2028 (current junior/senior status
• The ability to work Monday through Friday, 40-hours a week, fully on-site in Pontiac, MI from May 17th - August 6th
