About the program:

Our Nutrien Ag Solutions 2027 Livestock Career Development program will provide the skills and training you need to be a future leader or technical expert within the Livestock Industry. The program is designed for top talent to gain valuable experience in all aspects of the Livestock activity while completing an in-house Certificate in Livestock Marketing.

During the 24-month program (roles are all permanent), all Livestock Trainees will be involved in four leadership and skill-building workshops, receive on the ground training, and have mentors assigned to you to provide ongoing support. As a part of our Livestock Career Development Program, you’ll have the opportunity to work in both saleyard and branch environments, being mentored and guided by our experienced livestock employees and leaders, learning effective selling and relationship building techniques.

What to expect?

  • Accelerated learning opportunities to kick start your career within Livestock
  • Professional networking opportunities to allow you to socialize with your peers and leaders across the business
  • Placement mobility once the 24-month program concludes. You may be required to or have the opportunity to move locations to ensure you get the most out of your experience with us
  • Business skills – compliance, sales and client relationship building, communication, marketing and social media, understanding finance, problem solving and negotiation and leading and managing a team.
  • Livestock skills – next generation stock and station agency skills, livestock productivity, animal health and nutrition, Auctions Plus, auctioneering, wool technical and market requirements and emerging technology.

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for the 2027 Livestock Career Development Program you will have a strong desire to learn and succeed in the Livestock industry, excellent customer service skills and strong negotiation abilities.

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Successful completion of Year 12
  • Worked successfully for a minimum of 24 months within the Agricultural industry, ideally within Livestock.
  • Be willing to relocate at the conclusion or throughout the program.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or Australian permanent resident – please note that temporary VISA holders are not eligible for this program.
  • Be vaccinated or willing to receive the Q Fever vaccination
  • The ability to work in a team environment
  • Willingness to learn, strong communication and problem-solving skills and leadership potential.
  • Genuine interest and desire to work and learn about the Livestock Industry.
