Why This InternshipAs an intern with Textron, you’ll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. JOB SUMMARY: The Operation Intern involves planning, organizing and controlling manpower cost, continuity of production flow according to schedules and the maintenance and improvement of quality, safety, and efficiency.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Involved in safety, quality, meeting schedules and efficiency of operations.Interaction with team members regarding workmanship, efficiencies and safe working conditions as well as identifying ergonomic opportunities.Implements lean manufacturing processes and practices as well as coordinates all area development events.Holds weekly project updated.May assist the Value Stream Manager is monitoring daily production operations through continuing efficiency, aircraft production and budget reports.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:Pursuing a bachelor’s degree required in Business, Management, Operation or other related field. QUALIFICATIONS: Strong organizational, human relations and problem-solving skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work within team environmentsProfessional and diplomatic demeanorStrong sense of accountability and integrityTime management skillsProficient in use of standard Microsoft Office programs Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship. Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks. Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.
