Graduate Business Data Analyst

Join Isio as a Graduate Business Data Analyst and use data to help improve outcomes for pension schemes and their members. You will work with colleagues across the business to understand client needs, analyse information and support practical solutions.

You will learn how to identify where pension scheme data can be improved, document business requirements and contribute to projects and client deliverables. You will also build your understanding of emerging digital technologies and how data supports better decisions.

You will be employed on a permanent basis from the start. Your responsibilities will grow as your skills, knowledge and confidence develop.

What does the role entail?

• Prepare, check and analyse pension scheme data
• Identify data-quality issues and support improvements
• Help develop and deliver projects and client solutions
• Gather, document and maintain clear business requirements
• Work with client-focused teams to understand objectives and deliver agreed outcomes
• Collaborate with colleagues across different teams and disciplines
• Present findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Build knowledge of data tools, digital developments and the pensions sector

We will assess these behaviours in a structured and consistent way during the recruitment process.

Training and development

You will receive structured learning, practical experience and support from your team. This includes a graduate induction, role-specific training, opportunities to develop wider market knowledge, a buddy to help you settle in and support from a Performance Manager with your progress and development.

Subject to fulfilling eligibility criteria, you will be supported in achieving a Bachelors’ Degree level external qualification in Data Analysis, through a Level 6 Data Scientist Apprenticeship.

Length of programme

You will be employed on a permanent basis from the start of your graduate role.

The qualification in Data Analysis should be completed in three years.

Location and working pattern

This role is based in our Birmingham office.

Expected office attendance, including the first few months is four days per week minimum in office and then two/three days a week in the office moving forwards.

The working pattern will reflect client, team and learning needs. Reasonable adjustments will be considered where appropriate.

Entry requirements

• You must have completed an undergraduate degree or higher-level qualification by 1 September 2027 and achieved a 2.1 or higher. If you are in your final year, you should be on track to achieve this

• You will need an interest in data, technology and business problem-solving

We are not able to provide visa sponsorship for this position and therefore you will need to be able to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Start date: 22 September 2027

Recruitment process

The recruitment process will include;

• an invitation to complete a ‘Skills that Build’ assessment and numerical reasoning online assessment - more information on this is available here
• online motivation and competency questions requiring video and/or written responses
• review of your application assessing your potential to be successful in this role
• an interview, in-person, with Managers in this role in the office you have applied to be based in

We will explain what to expect before each stage. The process will assess your motivation, numerical and problem-solving skills, communication, teamwork and approach to learning. It will not assume previous pensions knowledge.
