2027 Summer Analyst
Real Estate
Blackstone is a global leader in real estate investing. Blackstone’s real estate business was founded in 1991 and has US $320 billion of investor capital under management. Blackstone is the largest owner of commercial real estate globally, owning and operating assets across every major geography and sector, including logistics, data centers, residential, office and hospitality. Our opportunistic funds seek to acquire undermanaged, well-located assets across the world. Blackstone’s Core+ business invests in substantially stabilized real estate assets globally, through both institutional strategies and strategies tailored for income-focused individual investors including Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust, Inc. (BREIT). Blackstone Real Estate also operates one of the leading global real estate debt businesses, providing comprehensive financing solutions across the capital structure and risk spectrum, including management of Blackstone Mortgage Trust (NYSE: BXMT).
The Asset Management team conceives, executes, and advises on major investment and corporate initiatives across the real estate business. The team has a dual mandate to maximize the value of Blackstone’s real estate investments and to build, grow and sustain world-class businesses. The Asset Management team sits at the center of the real estate complex–analyzing and sharing information that influences investment strategies, executing disposition and financing transactions, leading and interfacing with portfolio companies and joint venture partners, conceiving and driving value creation strategies, supporting the management of the Blackstone funds and serving as a content expert to Limited Partners and other parts of the Firm.
Blackstone's Summer Analyst Program is a 10 week in-person experience, offering participants extensive exposure across the firm. This program provides Summer Analysts with valuable guidance through mentorship, continuous feedback, technical and soft skill training, networking opportunities with professionals across the firm, and the unique chance to fully immerse themselves in Blackstone's culture.
Blackstone’s Real Estate Asset Management Group offers Summer Analysts the experience on a professional team whose work involves the asset management of real estate-related companies, portfolios of real estate assets, and individual properties across North America. Summer Analysts at Blackstone have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of private equity real estate investing and may work across a number of different real estate sectors. Due to the relatively small size of the professional staff, asset management analysts are expected to assume integral roles on deal teams. Summer Analysts are involved with all parts of the life-cycle of an investment after acquisition including: leasing decisions, refinancings, repositionings, optimizing operations with portfolio companies, and dispositions. The role typically involves site visits to assets and regular meetings with portfolio companies.
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who work well in a team-driven working group, are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors.
