We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).The Charles Schwab Trust Bank (CSTB) Internship Program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting trust, custody, and retirement-related services that help clients build long-term financial security. Within the Trust & Custody Services track, interns gain exposure to the operational processes, client support activities, and business functions that enable the delivery of accurate, reliable, and compliant financial services in a highly regulated environment.As a Trust Bank Intern, you will contribute to meaningful operational work supporting retirement plan services, trust account servicing, research activities, process documentation, and cross-functional coordination. You will collaborate with teammates and business partners to help resolve issues, support service delivery, maintain accurate records, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and client outcomes. Through project-based work, coaching, networking opportunities, and ongoing feedback, you will strengthen your problem-solving abilities, communication skills, attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to learn new systems, products, and processes quickly.Internship Dates: June 7, 2027 – August 6, 2027. Locations: Austin, TX and Phoenix, AZ.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
• Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems by gathering information, organizing work into logical steps, and identifying appropriate next actions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills demonstrated through coursework, projects, employment, extracurricular activities, or leadership experiences.
• Ability to produce accurate, high-quality work and maintain strong attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to manage assignments, meet deadlines, and follow work through to completion.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teammates, partners, and stakeholders in a professional environment.
• Proven ability to learn new concepts, systems, processes, and tools while applying feedback to improve performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in financial services, trust services, custody operations, retirement services, or client-focused business functions.
• Experience through coursework, internships, employment, volunteer work, or student organizations that demonstrates accountability, teamwork, or service orientation.
• Interest in working within a regulated environment where quality, accuracy, and compliance are important.
• Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and willingness to take on new challenges and responsibilities.
• Desire to build a long-term foundation in operations, client support, or financial services careers.
