
Serves as a member of the Management Development Program (MDP) and participates in ten weeks of Core Training and one year of On-the-Job (OJT) training. Core Training responsibilities include participation in classroom training, observations of departmental presentations, interaction with senior management, peer networking, and working in teams on two group project assignments. OJT responsibilities vary by department and are assigned by the department manager. The position may be responsible for additional projects as assigned by the department manager or Leadership Development Manager-MDP.
The Bilateral servicing team within CLO is responsible for maintaining bilateral loans through their lifecycle on AFS. We support all areas of Commercial and Business Banking, including Special Assets and CAM.
Our range of loan support spans from post-AFS booking through loan payoff. Activities range from advances, billing schedules, conversions, hierarchy maintenance, monitoring reports, rate and payment changes, settlement transactions, exception monitoring and payoff quotes.
· Assist in oversight of daily activities and ongoing strategic planning in Bilateral Servicing within Commercial Lending Operations, ensuring quality standards are maintained in accordance with Bank, Division and Department policy
· Completes a series of management activities to develop solid understanding of organizational and departmental policy and procedures and external regulations.
· Compile month-end data for unit activities for distribution to and decision-making by management.
· Develop interactive dashboard using the existing department error log which can be used by our business partners for error resolution
· Interact routinely with Division/Department management to discuss business objectives specific to the unit(s) managed.
· Evaluate unit processes, procedures and policies for operational efficiency.
· Analyze existing service level agreements and time standards.
· Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company’s Risk Appetite.
· Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
· Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
· Complete other related duties as assigned.

The Management Development Program is a non-rotational, one-year training program for recent college graduates where participants learn sales, accounting, project management and leadership skills depending upon their career track. Various methods of training include classroom study, divisional orientations, and teamwork on group projects. These fundamentals are coupled with on-the-job training to allow for immediate application in the area for which the participant has been hired.
