Scope & Responsibilities

The Industrials team at Houlihan Lokey are looking to add a Graduate Financial Analyst in Paris.

Financial Analysts' work will focus on M&A transactions, but with exposure to other areas including private placements of debt and equity, refinancings, and leveraged buyouts.

As a Graduate Financial Analyst, you will:

  • Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
  • Create financial models
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
  • Conduct research on sectors, companies and potential buyers
  • Value companies and businesses
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients and prospective clients and professional advisors
  • Supervise and train junior staff members
  • Assist in planning of engagements

Qualifications

The ideal candidate thinks strategically, is motivated, detail oriented, creative, outgoing, and possesses excellent quantitative skills. If you have the following qualifications & experience, we’d love to hear from you:

  • A strong academic track record from a highly regarded university – having completed your final university assessments in 2025 or 2026.

  • Minimum 6 months internship experience in M&A or another similar role, with experience/knowledge in Industrials sector favourably regarded.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in both English and French

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

  • An understanding of valuation theory, methodologies and applications.

  • Strong quantitative, financial and analytical skills.

  • Proficient skill in Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.
