Frisco Bowl Marketing and Digital Media Intern Job Description – Fall 2026

THIS IS AN IN-PERSON POSITION

All Frisco Bowl internships are unpaid and must be used to receive college credit from an accredited university. This internship will allow the individual to gain valuable experience with a professional organization in the sports, entertainment, and marketing industries. Candidate hours can be flexible to accommodate school and/or work schedules. Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required.

The Frisco Bowl is looking for a Marketing and Digital Media Intern to assist the team with marketing and social media initiatives that promote the bowl game and increase brand awareness. The intern will report to the Executive Director and assist with day-to-day objectives of the bowl game. The internship will take place from September to December 2026 and will include support for the additional bowl game on December 15, 2026, and the Frisco Bowl on December 23, 2026.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the development of marketing strategies and social media campaigns to increase overall brand awareness for both bowl games and related events.
  • Assist in planning and creating monthly social media content calendars while supporting marketing and promotional efforts across platforms such as Instagram, X, and other digital channels.
  • Create social media content and marketing materials using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Canva, and other digital design tools.
  • Assist with on-site content capture and digital coverage during bowl promotional events and community activations.
  • Assist in the planning of sponsor marketing activities for the games.
  • Assist in coordinating marketing research projects.
  • Assist in the scheduling and organization of logistics for promotions and events.
  • Assist with the creation of recap books for media, collateral, and licensing items.
  • Contribute to original content and marketing materials that may be featured across the Frisco Bowl’s official social media channels and digital platforms.
  • Assist with off-site activations, promotional events, and grassroots marketing efforts throughout the fall.

  • Collaborative, innovative, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Deadline-driven and capable of working under pressure while juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A creative content contributor with an interest in social media and digital storytelling.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including select nights, weekends, and non-traditional business hours based on event and activation needs.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be an active college student. Preferably pursuing a degree and/or career in Sports Marketing, Digital Media, Marketing, or Public Relations.
  • Must receive college credit for internship with our company.

Must be able to work 15–20 hours per week, primarily at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Hours will increase in December.

  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Canva are required.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite applications is preferred.
  • Photography/videography skills are a plus but not required.
  • Applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio or examples of social media content, graphic design, photography, or video work (portfolio website, social media page, or class projects).
