The ideal candidate shouldpossessa solid understanding of petroleum engineering principles, including drilling, production,petrophysicsand reservoir engineering to address both subsurface and surface challenges. This role willbe responsible forOil & Gas Wellsplanning, interpreting, evaluating, and integrating this data to develop, sustain, andoptimizeproduction performance.

Additionally, the candidate should be adept at applying technology to solve fundamental scientific and engineering problems,utilizingindustry-standard software and tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Analysedrilling,completionsand subsurfacedata offering insights and recommendationsto develop new and manage existingoperations

• Provide drilling and completions engineeringmodelingsupport including but not limited toWell control,Torque & Drag, Hydraulics, Surge & Swab, Maximum overpull using industry standard software packages.

• Maintainaccurateoperational records and uphold data quality standards to preserve the integrity of systems of record.

• Conduct lookbacks, generate reports, slide decks, and share with stakeholders to drive performance.

• Partnerwith Digital teams, business units,andcenterfunctions tomaintaindata qualityand use analyticstoolsand support various AI initiatives for Wells function

• Workwith Wells teams tosupportsafe, reliable,and cost-effective operations.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams tomonitordrilling operations,analyzeresults, and provide technical input for development wells and workovers.

• Perform benchmarking analysis using various internal and external data sources,identifytrends and technical comparisons between business units and competitors.

• Exploreopportunities to applydigital tools andAIwithincompetitive performanceworkflows.

• Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Digital teams, business units andcenterfunctions to ensure data quality,utilizeanalytical tools to report metrics/performance.

• Conduct lookback postwell intervention activities whichimpactspersonnel safety, process safetyand prepare technical reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

• Comply withgovernment(s) regulations on all aspects of theDrilling andWellslifecycleManagement 
  

What You Will Bring

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in PetroleumEngineering

• Individuals with a Master’s or Doctorate degree in these fields and less than 5 years of relevant work experience are also eligible.

Experience

• 0 - 5 years post-qualification experience

• Understands petroleum engineering principles, including drilling, production,petrophysicsand reservoir engineering for solving subsurface and surface challenges.

Analytical & digital skills

• Candidate shouldpossessstrong analytical skills, with ability to analyse data, pay attention to detail, and deliver insightful analysis that highlights key business drivers and develops suitable solutions.

• Knowledge of industry software and tools to solve basic scientific/engineering problems. 

• Good digitalproficiency Ability to adapt to new software and digital tools to keep pace with industry changes.
