The Integration Engineer Level III is a senior hands-on engineer responsible for designing, building, and governing enterprise grade APIs and event driven integration services that enable critical business capabilities across the organization.

This role is API first, with a strong emphasis on RESTful services, while also contributing to data engineering and ETL/ELT integrations to support analytics and downstream systems.

The engineer works independently on moderately complex initiatives, providing technical leadership, mentoring peers, and ensuring solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security guidelines, and production readiness expectations.

  • Support production operations through incident and problem management, contributing to roadmaps, estimates, and engineering standards with strong analytical and communication skills
  • Collaborate with Agile Program Managers, Product Managers, and Business Systems Analysts to translate stakeholder requirements into design, code, and test artifacts
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and engineering best practices
  • Lead the design and development of RESTful APIs using Java and Boomi/Spring Boot
  • Design and implement scalable event driven‑ architectures leveraging Kafka or Event Hubs, including event publishing, consumption, and error handling
  • Enforce standards for API design, security, versioning, and schema evolution
  • Ensure resilience, scalability, and production readiness of applications and services
  • Hands‑on development and review of ETL/ELT pipelines and Snowflake integrations, including data transformations, schema management, and query optimization
  • Participate in Agile teams, delivering application design, coding, code reviews, testing, and status reporting
  • Proactively identify, track, and mitigate engineering risks, managing dependencies and cross team‑ issues
  • Mentor engineers and lead technical design discussions and code reviews

Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), streaming, CDC, and data intensive‑ domains
  • 6+ years of API engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot & Boomi
  • Strong expertise in REST APIs, microservices, and event d‑riven architecture
  • Hands‑on experience with messaging platforms and asynchronous integrations
  • Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines and working with Snowflake, Python.
  • 3–5 years of experience writing and debugging complex SQL with strong data modeling skills
  • Experience implementing API security (OAuth2, OIDC, JWT)
  • Proven technical leadership with ownership of production systems and support
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in fast paced‑ environments

Additional Information

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or related field 5+ years of related experience.
