This role provides technical leadership for the organization’s database infrastructure, setting strategic direction for maintenance, standards, lifecycle management, and system design. It drives the evaluation and implementation of high-impact, scalable, and cost-effective database solutions across complex environments, ensuring long-term performance and reliability. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams and headquarters to deliver innovative, enterprise-grade solutions while overseeing both operational support and project execution for database and SAP-related systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of database infrastructure, ensuring scalability, performance, and alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Administer and support SAP ECC, BW, and Portal systems, including database operations, security administration, and basic Unix system management.
  • Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot Oracle and SQL databases across Unix/Linux/Windows platforms, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, Unix shell scripts, and operational documentation to support system reliability and efficiency.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives from requirements through delivery, including stakeholder engagement, documentation, and leading cross-functional project meetings.


Basic Qualifications
 
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience managing large-scale Oracle and SQL Server database environments in enterprise settings
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions
  • Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work assignments while delivering projects on time
  • Ability to follow and execute both written and verbal technical instructions accurately
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively within team environments
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with internal stakeholders and external customers

Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification
  • Experience with SAP MaxDB
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute in complex, cross-functional technical environments


Salary range: $90,000 - $130,000
