Stores incoming stock. Stocks carts, fills orders, and distributes items to designated departments; and performs inventory control procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. High School diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE:

1. Three (3) months of distribution experience.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The statements described here are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this position. 1. Knowledge of supply items to maintain high efficiency when filling departmental requisition in an accurate and timely manner. Properly operates hand held devices to stock supply carts, patient charge and non-charge carts as scheduled metting accurate per levels. Stocks IV solutions.

2. Stocks shelves with incoming stock. Verify items with receiving ticket identifying discrepancies. Notifies supply coordinator of stock outs and overstocks. Places charge stickers on appropriate items.

3. Rotates stock to assure timely usage of dated sterile supplies. Removes any items with an expired sterility date and notifies the Coordinator for proper crediting.

4. Cleans carts, work area and shelves routinely maintaining an orderly storeroom.

5. Operates moving equipment, carts, pilot jack, and compactor. Answers phone requests in a professional manner taking appropriate action and in a timely manner.

6. Answers STAT requests immediately.

7. Performs computer entries with a high degree of accuracy.

8. Performs inventory counts as scheduled and quarterly physical inventory.

9. Uses good judgment in problem solving when handling stock outages and unusual requests.

10. Attends necessary meetings and inservices to meet educational requirements and for communication.

11. Assembles packs for OB Department and IV Packs for all Nursing Units on routine basis and operates sealers to complete packs.

12. Transfer information from hand held to computer for filling orders

13. Responsible for CPD during the Night Shift (11-7) sending equipment and supplies to the Nursing Units.

14. Supply Laundry supplies to Nursing Units on the Night Shift (11-7).
