£33,000 - £38,000 DOE | Full-Time | 45 Hours Per Week | 4-5 Days Per Week

The Role

We are passionate about producing simple, honest food using fresh ingredients, cooked properly and served with pride, we have a mix of traditional pub classics and are open to any and all ideas for specials on the menu. This is a great village pub with consistent regular custom along side their beloved four legged friends.

As a Senior Chef, you'll be responsible for maintaining high food standards while supporting the day-to-day running of the kitchen and helping deliver an excellent dining experience for our guests.

This is a hands-on role within a busy fresh-food environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh dishes to a consistently high standard
• Take ownership of your section during service
• Support the Head Chef with kitchen operations
• Assist with menu development and daily specials
• Maintain excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards
• Help manage stock rotation and minimise waste
• Support and mentor junior team members where required
• Deliver quality and consistency during busy service periods
• Contribute ideas to improve systems, menus, and kitchen efficiency
• Help support the future growth and development of the kitchen team

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who genuinely loves cooking, takes pride in their work, and wants to develop their career.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as a Senior CDP, Sous Chef or Head Chef
• Experience working in a fresh-food kitchen environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• A positive and professional attitude
• High standards of cleanliness and food presentation
• The ability to remain calm under pressure
• A willingness to learn, develop, and take on responsibility
• A team-first mentality and strong work ethic
