
TITLE: Special Education Homebound Instructor(s)
MINIMUM OUALIFICATIONS: Certified in Special Education, Multi-categorical with Autism
IMMEDIATE: Supervisor of Pupil Services
SELECTION: The position is filled by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent of schools.
SALARY: $35 hourly (Six hours direct and two hours indirect services per student)
FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
1 . Responsible for facilitating instruction on the core courses' content standards and objectives as guided by the student's classroom teacher(s).
2. Collects, secures, and understands instructional plans to be given to students with IEPS.
3. Delivers assignments and instruction to students, and monitors their progress.
4. Returns student work to classroom teacher for assessment.
5. Strong working/communication skills with students, parents, and peer staff members.
6. Addresses and implements students Individual Education Plans, (IEPS) and recommends revisions when needed.
7. Meets professional responsibilities.
8. Maintains professional work habits and adheres to the Teacher Code of Conduct as well as other duties as assigned.
