Medical Assistant – Full-Time Float

Location: Buckhead/Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:30 PM

Pay: $21–$25/hour, depending on experience

We are seeking 2 Medical Assistants for a full-time Float position within a busy Internal Medicine/Primary Care practice. This versatile role provides coverage across Medical Assisting, Referral Coordination, and Lab/Phlebotomy.

IF YOU ARE NOT CERTIFIED, THEN YOU MUST GET CERTIFIED WITHIN THE FIRST 90 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT.

The ideal candidate is dependable, flexible, and comfortable adapting to changing coverage needs, including occasional last-minute call-outs. Strong phlebotomy skills, EPIC/EMR experience, and prior Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience are required. Certification is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient intake, rooming, vital signs, and clinical documentation
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, and lab testing
• Coordinate referrals and assist with insurance authorizations
• Medication management and patient education
• Maintain clinical equipment, supplies, and safety standards
• Provide support wherever needed throughout the practice

Qualifications:

• Medical Assistant experience required
• Internal Medicine or Primary Care experience required
• Strong phlebotomy skills
• EPIC/EMR experience
• Flexible, dependable, team-oriented, and professional
• Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity required
• CMA certification is not required
