Job Description


Coordinates and directs activities of workers engaged in molding or assembly of parts or assemblies into units by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
include the following:

  • Coordinates, directs, evaluates and provides training and leadership to twenty or more hourly employees for the assembly and/or molding operations.
  • Develops daily schedules, ensures that quality and production goals are met, and troubleshoots problems as required.
  • Provides technical leadership for department, including recommending and implementing equipment, process and material enhancements.
  • Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements and workflow including design layouts for equipment and workspace.
  • Ensures all ISO procedures are followed, integrity of product to standard, process improvement recommendations: SPC, and other quality systems developed and maintained.
  • Ensures employees complete safety training, establishes safe work environment, and leads department safety team.
  • Maintains constructive working relationship with business units, customers, and internal departments including effective communication, coordination of WIP and process improvement.
  • Researches and makes recommendations on production and auxiliary equipment procurement, and identifies new technologies and expansion plans.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

High School diploma, plus one to two years related manufacturing experience and/or training. Associates degree (A. A.) from an accredited college or university is preferred.
