SUMMARY
Performs welding, fabrication, and metal finishing operations to produce high-quality components and assemblies. Responsibilities include welding using GTAW and GMAW processes, assembling parts per customer and company prints, and buffing/polishing finished components to achieve a Class A surface finish. Utilizes hand and power tools, interprets engineering prints, performs inspections, and collaborates with other departments to ensure quality, production efficiency, and timely shipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
-  Review and maintain production schedules, expedite lists, and work orders.
-  Weld metal parts and assemblies using MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and other applicable arc welding processes.
-  Study prints, process sheets, and layouts to determine required assembly methods and sequence.
-   Lay out reference lines and machining locations per print.
-   Assemble components using welding, or other approved methods.
-   Manipulate parts using heating, clamping, or restraining techniques.
-   Use Bluco or layout tables for fixture setup and small-lot assembly.
-   Inspect components for print and quality conformance.
-   Buff and polish parts to achieve required surface finish.
-   Inspect finished parts for defects or blemishes.
-   Use pneumatic and electric-powered tools safely.
-   Ensure production metrics, quality, and safety standards are met.
-   Process completed orders for shipment and documentation.
-   Communicate with other departments as required.
-   All other duties as assigned.
