Job Description
ICP is a leading formulator and manufacturer of specialty coatings, adhesives, and sealants serving the construction and industrial end markets.
The primary responsibility of the Manufacturing Associate in the Carroll location is to provide canisters to the gashouse and ready the filled canisters to be sent to the warehouse. This position comes with an expectation of being able to work at a fast pace and be able to meet the daily schedule.
This is a 1st shift position, Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm; paying $18.00 / hour
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain strict adherence to all plant safety requirements including wearing proper PPE
- Follow standard operating procedures, company policies, and safety regulations
- Perform start up and shut down of equipment
- Review work order information: product, amount, container, label
- Operate equipment and monitor quality
- Put empty canister on the conveyor
- Remove the full canister from the conveyor and carry it to the shaker machine. Press the button to activate the shaker machine and proceed to shake the canister
- Lift full canister from shaker machine and take to nitrogen station if work order states to top off canister with nitrogen; attach hose to canister and add the nitrogen; remove hose from canister
- Lift full canister from nitrogen station and place on pallet
- Grease, adjust, or clean specific parts of the production line to keep equipment in optimal condition; use various hand tools
- Make boxes; label boxes, canisters, pails, drums, and totes with correct product label(s) per work order
- Clean and paint canisters
- Shrink wrap pallets by hand
- Use pallet jack and/or tow motor to move pallets
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Train others when needed
- Help with cycle count when needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
Experience and Skills Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Must be able to follow specific instructions (work instructions, procedures, etc.), both written and verbal
- Must be self motivated, organized, and detail oriented
- Must be able to work in a non-temperature regulated environment
- Ability to work in chemical manufacturing environment, involving solvents and other hazardous materials
- Ability to repetitively lift up to 70 lbs. and perform other necessary physical requirements in performance of regular job duties
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods
- Must have good attendance
