Coordinates internal activities related to the receiving and storage of inbound raw materials. Complies with all safety, food safety, quality, SQF, GMP and USDA requirements, and provides backup assistance to other department personnel as needs dictate
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:
A minimum of a GED or high school diploma is normally required.
A minimum of 3 years warehouse inventory management experience is required, preferably in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing environment. Previous forklift and material handling experience is required.
Must have strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as Bills of Lading, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Must have the ability to interface effectively with other partners, and must be able to train others the receiving portion of the operating system.
Must have basic computer proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and the Internet. Previous experience with MAS 500 or related integrated manufacturing software MRP or ERP system is preferred. Experience with bar coding systems is also preferred
Must have accurate basic math skills.
