
North Allegheny School District is one the highest performing public-school districts in Pennsylvania and recognized nationally for its focus on academic achievement and growth, future preparation, school climate and student and staff wellness. Located just north of Pittsburgh, it is the largest suburban school district in Allegheny County, with an average annual enrollment of 8,500 students.
The 1st Semester Building Substitute Teacher will support the needs of Bradford Woods Elementary for the length of one semester for 2026-2027. (From the start of the year until Jan. 11, 2027.) Through this position you will establish an effective rapport with students and faculty while motivating students to develop skills, attitudes, and the knowledge needed to provide a proper foundation for higher education and career development. Note: This position may require occasional travel to assist at other elementaries within the district.
*A Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate Required*
Placeholder letters for pending certificates from a college/university are accepted until Instructional I certificate is received to start the interview/paperwork process
A Pennsylvania Instructional I or II in Special Education is preferred.
