Job Description
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a full-time 1st Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach in the Athletics Department.
This is a coaching position which will assist in all aspects of the Women’s Lacrosse program including but not limited to: helping with and leading on field instruction; collaboration with players, coaches, and administration; scout and video operations; coordinating class schedules; managing apparel and equipment; camp organization; events management, act as a liaison to conference and other departments within Monmouth University Athletics including the Office of Compliance; compile team related stats; plan, coordinate, and execute year-long travel plans; coordinate team community service activities; and organize aspects of recruiting visits.

This is an in-person, on-campus, non-remote position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Head Coach in all areas of coaching including planning and implementing practices, recruiting, team travel, alumni affairs, equipment purchasing, program planning, daily operations.
- Be available daily for office hours, weight training sessions, conditioning sessions, practices, team functions, team travel, and games throughout the fall and spring seasons.
- Responsible for adhering to policies and procedures governing the Department of Athletics and the University and any applicable rules and regulations associated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), or any other conference or organization with which the University is or becomes associated with which affects University Athletics.
- Assist Head Coach in all aspects of directing camps and clinics.
- Assume specific role as designated by Head Coach in practice and game settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree.
- CPR and NCAA recruiting certification must be attained within six months from date of hire.
- 4 years of college lacrosse playing/coaching experience or an equivalent combination.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to treat confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
- Must have an understanding of the University’s concern for academics as well as athletic excellence.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word 2016.
- A valid driver’s license in your state of residence and have had no serious violations (Type A) within the past five (5) years and no more than three (3) moving violations (Type B) in the past three (3) years. University Policy found here: Monmouth University Vehicle Use Policy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
- High school or collegiate coaching.
- Collegiate playing experience.
- Coaching knowledge of the game.
