
Brief description
To execute cyber and information security governance, risk and compliance tasks in support of ensuring appropriate cybersecurity awareness, risk management, vulnerability oversight, policies, compliance and assurance.
Detailed description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:
• Execute work in conjunction with Governance Analyst/Consultant.
• Research into leading information security practices and apply security principles toward relevant areas (such appropriate policies, frameworks and standards, processes, procedures, and controls).
• Perform awareness activities, research and provide input into cybersecurity policies and standards, conduct cyber risk assessments, conduct cyber assurance assessments, coordinate vulnerability assessments and measure compliance in support of cybersecurity governance.
• Engage with stakeholders across the SARB Group at technical and project execution level to solicit cybersecurity information as well as convey and explain requirements fluently.
• Provide/ administer periodic reporting on respective Cyber & Information Security performance and risk areas.
Job requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must be in possession of:
• A minimum of a bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Security/Information Technology/ OR equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Information Technology environment, of which 1 year within a Cyber and Information Security environment.
• Security Certification would be an added advantage.
