As a Construction Management Manager within the Construction Management team, you help assess project viability and manage construction-related risk throughout the life of a loan. You review construction documents, track progress against plans, and elevate issues early to support informed decisions. You partner with internal stakeholders to resolve risks and keep projects moving toward successful completion. You support a culture of strong controls, clear communication, and practical solutions. You help ensure construction activity aligns with requirements and that closeout is completed thoroughly.

You will contribute to consistent risk standards by applying construction best practices, quality expectations, and disciplined documentation. You will work across multiple active projects at once, balancing priorities and timelines while maintaining attention to detail. You will bring a steady, solutions-oriented approach when projects encounter delays, disputes, or scope changes. Your work will directly support healthier portfolios, better project outcomes, and stronger stakeholder confidence.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead the analysis and review of construction documents to assess project viability
  • Implement and oversee construction risk policies and procedures, advising lending and special asset partners on risk mitigation
  • Identify, document, report, and escalate construction-related issues that may impact the property or loan performance
  • Resolve escalated construction issues by facilitating practical, timely stakeholder alignment
  • Conduct quality control reviews to confirm work performed aligns to requirements and standards
  • Monitor construction progress, draws, milestones, and closeout deliverables through completion
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and service expectations
  • Participate in business reviews and resiliency efforts, recommending process improvements
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation and reporting for internal records and decisioning
  • Travel minimally, as required, to support project oversight and issue resolution

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 7 years of construction management experience with demonstrated responsibility for document review, project monitoring, and issue escalation
  • Demonstrated experience assessing construction feasibility and risks through review of plans, budgets, schedules, and contracts
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects with strong quality control and risk mitigation discipline
  • Demonstrated skill resolving construction-related conflicts and driving timely resolution among multiple stakeholders
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including clear issue reporting and escalation
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to apply policies and procedures consistently in a risk-managed environment
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams to support business outcomes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Experience applying automation or technology-enabled tools to streamline monitoring, reporting, or controls
  • Strong quantitative reporting and comfort interpreting project metrics to support decisions
  • Knowledge of real estate lending concepts as they relate to construction risk and project oversight
  • Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and support change adoption across teams
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members in project execution and risk management

Required or additional information:

  • Work schedules will be full-time in office, on a 40-hour per week schedule.
