Job Description
The Project Engineer is responsible for delivering cloud migration and deployment projects from
initial scoping through execution and closeout. This is a hands-on, client-facing engineering role
focused on designing, implementing, and documenting secure, cloud-first environments using
Microsoft technologies. The role requires strong technical ownership, clear communication, and
the ability to manage multiple projects across different client environments.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and execute cloud migration projects, including Azure and Azure Virtual Desktop
(AVD) implementations
• Design, plan, and deploy cloud-first environments that balance performance, security,
and cost efficiency
• Configure identity, access, networking, and firewall components for project environments
• Serve as the technical lead for projects across multiple client environments
• Collaborate with account managers and service desk teams to ensure successful project
delivery
• Maintain detailed and accurate project documentation following established SOPs
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget
• Apply security best practices and risk-awareness throughout project execution
Requirements
Skills:
• 3–5 years of experience in a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role
• Proven experience delivering Azure migrations and Azure Virtual Desktop deployments
• Experience with Microsoft 365 integrations
• Strong knowledge of identity and access management, including Entra ID and Entra
Domain Services
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including firewall configurations
• Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for client-facing work
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of technical projects
