The instructional technology trainer's mission is to support district teachers, staff and administrators in successfully deploying technology and applications in the implementation of research-based teaching and learning pedagogies. The Instructional Technology Trainer provides ongoing professional development and on-demand training for
technology solutions used districtwide to support initiatives focused on strengthening staff and students' 21st Century skills and student achievement.

Training and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree, required
• One to five years of experience in educational technology or informational technology, required
• One to five years of experience with problem solving, technology troubleshooting and customer service in an education or training environment, strongly preferred
• Prior experience with instructional design and curriculum development, strongly preferred
• K-12 classroom teaching experience, strongly preferred
• Experience utilizing enterprise Learning Management Systems, strongly preferred
• Project management and planning experience, strongly preferred

Skill In:

• Strong verbal, written, organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills
• Writing training materials and manuals
• Understanding technical language
• Presenting ideas effectively to individuals or groups; deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience
• Being able to learn new applications with little or no formal training
• Exercising problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Troubleshooting complex issues with technology
• Time-management and meeting deadlines along with multiple and changing priorities
• Customer-service and interpersonal skills
