JOB SUMMARY
The Host/Hostess is responsible for providing a warm and welcoming experience for guests as they enter the restaurant. This role supports the team by managing reservations, seating guests, and ensuring a smooth flow of service, contributing to the overall operations of the hotel's restaurant.

QualificationsESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
- Operational Responsibilities
- - Greet guests warmly and escort them to their tables.
- - Manage reservations and seating arrangements.
- - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess stand and entrance area.
- Guest Services
- - Provide excellent customer service and respond to guest inquiries.
- - Handle guest complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- - Ensure guest satisfaction by accommodating special requests.
- Team Support and Training
- - Assist in training new hosts/hostesses as needed.
- - Support team performance by collaborating with colleagues.
- Communication and Reporting
- - Communicate effectively with the restaurant manager and other staff.
- - Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.
- Safety & Compliance
- - Follow all hotel policies and procedures.
- - Adhere to safety standards and maintain a safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with a team and demonstrate attention to detail
- Excellent organizational skills and interpersonal abilities
- Previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is preferred
Physical Requirements
- Sitting: Occasional
- Standing/Walking: Frequent, including standing for long periods
- Lifting/Carrying: Up to 25 lbs, such as menus and supplies
- Other Physical Requirements: Handling, grasping, and crouching as needed

Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; previous experience in a host/hostess or customer service role is a plus
