
Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Full-Time Hours Available
Location: Nazareth, PA
$1,000 Signing Bonus | $19.50/HR
Abound Health is hiring a compassionate and reliable Home-Based Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support an individual with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the Nazareth, PA area.
This full-time opportunity provides one-on-one support in the home and community, helping an individual build independence, increase social engagement, develop employment skills, and achieve personal goals. About the Role
As a DSP, you will provide individualized support in the home and community. Your work will help promote independence, confidence, community involvement, and daily living skills while supporting the individual in reaching meaningful personal goals.
Key Responsibilities
• Support community participation and social skill development
• Assist with cooking, meal planning, and healthy living skills
• Help develop budgeting and money-management skills
• Support household management and independent living skills
• Assist with employment exploration and job-readiness goals
• Provide transportation to appointments, activities, and community outings
• Encourage personal growth, independence, and self-advocacy
• Follow support plans and document progress
• Submit documentation and payroll on time
• Participate in ongoing training
• Work independently in home and community settings
About the Individual
The individual lives independently and receives In-Home and Community Support. Support focuses on increasing independence, building community connections, strengthening social skills, and preparing for future employment opportunities.
The individual enjoys community activities and benefits from consistent one-to-one support that promotes confidence, independence, and engagement. The ideal DSP will be patient, supportive, have a good sense of humor, and be comfortable providing transportation.
What We're Looking For
• Genuine interest in supporting individuals with I/DD
• Ability to work independently and responsibly
• Valid driver's license and active car insurance
• Comfortable providing transportation in the community
• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass background checks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with tasks impacted by physical limitations if needed
Compensation
• $19.50 per hour
• $1,000 signing bonus for qualified candidates
Schedule
• Monday-Friday
• 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Full-time, consistent weekly hours
Experience
• One year of caregiving experience preferred (not required — training provided)

Signing Bonus Details
• $333 after 90 days (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $333 after 6 months (minimum 20 hours/week)
• $334 after 1 year (minimum 20 hours/week)
Bonus not available for Residential Services or Relative as Provider (RAP) hires. Applicants must not have worked for Abound Health or its affiliates within the past 18 months.
