My name is Josie. I have my own apartment in Bangor. I love movies, plays, knitting, horses, and game nights with my friends. I am seeking a Community Advocate to add to my team who will help me live my life on my own terms, along with all the big stuff that entails. As my Community Advocate, you would assist me with the fun stuff, as well as some personal and medical care. I can instruct you about everything I need; which might include assistance getting out of bed, maintaining my wheelchair and managing some of my medical needs. CAN or PSS experience is a bonus!
In a given day with me, you may have several roles:
Coach– Support me in making and implementing day to day decisions about my life. I know what I want, but sometimes need assistance gathering information, and then making my choices actually happen.?
Supporter – Assist me with day to day tasks such as getting dressed, taking care of my home, attending medical appointments, getting around, and advocating with medical providers.
Perhaps you are a fit for my awesome team?
