Job Description

TITLE: HR Administrator

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Ensures positive employee relations by proactive employee communication, prompt issue resolution and fair & equitable treatment. Serves as internal resource for employees

QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school graduate or equivalent
• Good oral and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1-year previous experience in an HR support role.
• Experience with Motor Carrier driver compliance
• Knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
• Knowledge of HOS regulations
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Ensures positive employee relations. Serves as internal resource for employee inquiries. Direct employees as necessary to the appropriate resource; such as Employee Shared Service Center and/or Benefits Center.
• Perform daily audit of hourly employee time and attendance records
• Lead safety meetings and oversee policies and procedures
• Driver orientation and ongoing training
• Maintain driver qualifications file
• Support local recruitment activities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
• Stooping/Bending
• Kneeling
• Reaching
• Standing for long periods of time
• Grasping
• Getting on/off forklift
