Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Patient care and communication: Explain procedures to patients, ensure their comfort and safety during the exam, and answer their questions.
• Equipment operation: Set up and operate the ultrasound equipment, making adjustments to settings and patient position to achieve high-quality images
• Image acquisition: Use sound waves to create images of organs, tissues, and blood flow, which may include performing routine and special procedures like obstetric, vascular, or abdominal ultrasounds.
• Image review and documentation: Evaluate the images during the scan to ensure they are diagnostic, and record findings, including measurements, notes on appearance, and cine loops.
• Physician support: Submit acquired images and preliminary reports to physicians for interpretation and diagnosis.
• Assisting physicians: Aid physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures, such as biopsies or injections.
• Administrative duties: Maintain patient records, manage exam schedules, clean and stock exam rooms, and perform quality control on equipment.
